Now I'm not the tidiest person in the world, but putting your food in the fridge without any sort of covering on it is just sort of gross. This post also marks the return of pictures to my blog! Yay!
The remake of The Wicker Man releases on DVD Tuesday, December 19. Avoid it like the plague! It was the worst Nicholas Cage movie I've ever seen. The whole thing is laughable. Much of the running time is taken up with Nic Cage walking, or bicycling somewhere else. The twist ending was apparent from literally halfway through the movie, and I had more fun watching it on fast forward and making up dialogue. It was much wittier and entertaining that way.
A friend of mine pointed me to this video. Let me say that I have the utmost respect for Benny Hinn and what God does through him. However, this is hilarious and I wanted to share it with all 14 of my faithful readers.
I'll be the first to admit that technology is a great thing, but it just seems sort of wrong to learn that a friend of yours decided to elope via a Myspace bulletin.
Some of the goals I have in life are pretty big. It's easy to get overwhelmed because of there's so much work to be done in order to realize these goals. One of my goals is to make a movie. There's a ton of work involved in this undertaking, and there's so much to be accomplished before I can even get to the point where it's a possibility.
Another goal I have is to create a product that's capable of ending the myspace regime once and for all. I don't know how far I'm going to get with it, but I'm at least going to give it a shot. I may fail, but at least I'll be able to say that I tried.
Unfortunately, the scope of these dreams are so big that it's easy to get paralyzed with indecision on how to accomplish all of this.
I had an epiphany today. These are big goals I have, but worrying about how in the world I'm going to get anything done is not something that's altogether productive. I need to just focus on the things that I can do here and now, and work on small pieces of the bigger product. Eventually something I'll wind up with something that's usable.
We wanted to inform you that your child's application has been seriously and prayerfully considered and that he or she has been accepted to be part of the 2007 365 Global Team.
Whether your student has been on a missions trip before, or if this is your first time having your teenager go overseas to minister, we understand the questions that may be going through your mind:
Will it be safe?
How will we get the money?
What preparations will be made from now until June?
Because of these, along with our belief that a missions trip wil be a much better experience if the parents are involved along the way, we want to extend an invitation to you to join us for our 365 Global Kick-Off Luncheon immediately following the 11:00 service on Sunday, January 7 at 1:00pm at 365 @ The Village. We will begin with a free meal and then provide you and your student with all of the information that you will need in order to have a great missions experience.
Also, please be aware of the DEPOSIT DATE - A $125 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, ensuring your student's place on the trip will be due on Sunday, January 21, 2006.
