Here is how Christmas
Eve goes down at my house. We have dinner with my dad's
mother, Edna, and then open gifts. The aforementioned
dinner used to consist of roast beef, mashed potatoes,
etc...but nowadays we go for something even fancier.
We have pizza now. I know that nothing gets me
more excited about Christmas and the holiday
season than a good pepperoni pizza. Well, maybe a nice
round of Gregorian chants.
Usually
we go to my grandmother's house, but this year my grandmother
came down here. We had our pizza and then we got around
to what Christmas is all about - presents!
the birth of Jesus Christ.
My dad
read from Matthew 1, and we reflected on the deep significance
of the omnipotent eternal God wrapping himself in human
flesh for about 10 seconds before we got started on
the exchanging of gifts.
