Independent Development Statement

Cybersalt's MCP for Joomla (cs-mcp-for-j) and its add-on plugins are developed independently of the Joomla extensions they wrap. This page records that independence so you can verify it before installing.

What "independently" means here

  • The MCP add-on plugins listed in the cs-mcp-for-j catalog (currently for 4SEO, RSTicketsPro, and Akeeba Backup) are not built by, endorsed by, affiliated with, or sold on behalf of the companies that own those extensions.
  • Each add-on is a clean-room implementation: Cybersalt reads the target extension's source, manifests, and documentation to understand its database schema and public contracts, then writes our own MCP tool layer against that surface. No code from any third-party vendor is copied into our add-ons.
  • The license boundary holds in both directions. cs-mcp-for-j ships under GPL-2.0-or-later; the vendors of the wrapped extensions ship under GPL-2.0+ or GPL-3.0+ themselves. Both halves remain redistributable independently.
