Remove stylesheet from Joomla 4 head was created by Imran Ahmed Tutonn
Hi All,
Greetings and hope you are all doing good!
My Issue is, I want to remove some (3 stylesheet / css) files from my Joomla 4 index.php file and add 2 more different stylesheet files. The codes in the Joomla document for doing so by webassetmanager are not working.
Can anyone please show me the proper way and codes to do so? It would be very helpful for me.
Thanks in advance for the help and assistance.
Kind regards,
Imran Ahmed Tutonn.

Hi Imran!
I know the site you are referring to is farhaninternationalbd.com/
Looking at the site, I would not worry about some of those css files as they are so small and unlikely to impact the page load time in any significant way compared to the effort to remove them.

I need to reduce http requests for loading those files because I have combined all the CSS codes that are working with the design of the website.
especially, I want to remove the CSS files from the phoca cart.
There are lots of unused codes consuming memory and net resources.
Most importantly, most of my visitors are from rural areas of Bangladesh where slow mobile internet is their main way of accessing the website. So, I have to count every bit of resource.
I would be very glad and grateful if anyone showed me the proper way of achieving this goal.
Thanks again for your great help and assistance.
Sincerely,
Imran Ahmed Tutonn.

Phoca Cart needs those css files, it's how it knows to make the Phoca Cart visually appear as it does.

I have combined all of those codes from Phoca Cart into one file.
All the working CSSs are combined for the user.css file. Even from the core CSS from the Cassiopeia template.
Our mobile internet speed is a maximum of 512 KBPS in the rural area.
Sincerely,
Imran

The way I would do it is to create a "child" template of Cassiopeia and use a custom index.php with your own CSS style files.
