Every Joomla extension and MCP for J add-on that Cybersalt publishes, free or paid, is released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL-2.0-or-later), the same license as Joomla itself. Every PHP file carries the license notice.
Under the GPL you can use the software on as many sites as you like, read and change the code, and share it, as long as anything you pass on stays under the same license. The full text of the license is published by the Free Software Foundation at gnu.org.
What a Pro purchase or membership pays for
When you buy an MCP for J Pro add-on, on its own or through the MCP for J Pro All Access membership, you're paying for access to the download and to updates through Joomla's own updater for the length of the subscription. One purchase covers every site you run.
The add-ons have no license key. A Download ID only controls access to downloads and updates, and an add-on keeps working if a subscription ends. Renewing turns updates back on.
