You sell a Joomla extension through Cybersalt Release Manager and want your customers to link their account, so paid updates install from Joomla's update screen. If you'd rather not touch the code, we'll add it for you and test it against your store.
You may not need this
Most developers can do this themselves, and it's included with your Release Manager licence. In Release Manager, go to Packages and click Add licensing to your extension under your package. That screen gives you:
- A download key route that takes a few manifest lines and no code. It works for any extension type.
- A generated kit with your details already in it, for a Link your account screen in your component or plugin.
- A prompt for an AI assistant such as Claude Code, which reads your extension and adds the kit for you.
The Developer Guide explains each one. Give those a look first. If you try one and get stuck, ask us through the support form before paying for anything.
What we do
- Add a Link your account screen to your extension, in your extension's own name and your store's.
- Connect your manifest to your store's update feed, and make sure the customer's key survives updates.
- Check your package's settings on your store and tell you what to change.
- Test it on a Joomla site against your store: linking an email, an update found and installed, and the expired and no-licence messages.
- Send you the updated extension and a plain list of every file we changed, so you can maintain it yourself from there.

What we need from you
- Your extension's code: a zip or access to its repository.
- Your store's address, with Release Manager 1.15.0 or later installed.
- Your package set up in Release Manager, and the email of a customer account we can test with.
What isn't included
- Installing or configuring Release Manager, or setting up your membership plans.
- Releasing the new version to your customers. That stays with you.
- Other changes to your extension. We're happy to quote for those separately.
