Have you forgotten to update the copyright year on your Joomla site? Don't risk your site looking abandoned and out of date by displaying a copyright year that isn't current. Set it to automatically and always show the current year. YouTube does not allow the pasting of code with "angled brackets" so it's not possible to paste the codes shared in the various parts of this video (including during the chat time afterwards.) If you would like a copy of them contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Here is the PHP code we use in our footer:

<?php echo "© " . date("Y") . " Cybersalt Consulting Ltd. All rights reserved.";?>

- The video discusses how to automatically update the copyright year on a Joomla site.
- The presenter, Tim Davis, had been absent for a month due to illness but is now back.
- The method uses a plugin called "Sorcerer" from Regular Labs, which is free to download.
- Tim demonstrates the process on a client's website, Carson City Coin Collectors of America.
- He accesses the backend of the site, installs the "Sorcerer" plugin, and goes to the footer module to modify the copyright information.
- The PHP code is inserted to dynamically show the current year, and Tim demonstrates how it updates from 2023 to 2024 automatically.
- He suggests subscribing for more videos and signing off with "enjoy your Joomla sites and God bless."
