If you are making new Joomla articles using the "Save as Copy" tool there is something important you need to know - at least for now.

- Title: "Important Note When Using Save and Copy to Make a New Joomla Article - 🛠 MM #283 - YouTube"
- Presented by Tim Davis on Maintenance Monday #283 on the Basic Joomla Tutorials YouTube channel.
- Tim Davis emphasizes a crucial point when using the "save as copy" feature for creating new Joomla articles.
- The demonstration is based on Joomla 4 and Joomla 5 article manager.
- When making a copy using "save as copy," the copied article is automatically published in Joomla 4 and Joomla 5.
- In previous versions, the copy would be unpublished by default, allowing for changes without interference from third-party extensions.
- Tim Davis mentions that the current automatic publishing is due to conflicts with the workflow extension in Joomla.
- To work around this issue, Tim advises users to manually set the copied article to "unpublished" before saving as a copy.
- Once the article is ready for publication, users can switch it to "published," make final changes, and save and close.
- Tim Davis suggests keeping an eye on his channel for updates on when the issue is fixed.
- Viewers are encouraged to subscribe for more videos and to enjoy working on their Joomla sites.
- Tim Davis wishes everyone a happy New Year in 2024 and signs off with "enjoy your G sits and God bless."
