The Joomla Training Cohort needs a forum and I finally have launched Kunena Forum on the site. But I need to get better at using Kunena so in this live stream I continue to set it up as I figure out what I want.

4. Setting Up Kunena Discuss

Configured the Discuss plugin to link Joomla articles with Kunena topics, enabling forum-based comments.

5. Forum Categories Configured

Mapped Joomla categories to Kunena forum sections and created a catch-all category for unmatched content.

6. Forum Integration Tested

Tested article-to-forum topic linking and verified quick-reply functionality and visual display.

7. Spam Controls & Template Review

Enabled anti-spam features and explored advanced Kunena template customization options.

8. Moderation & Post Handling

Demonstrated how to move, delete, or moderate posts across the frontend and backend.

9. Forum Strategy Case Study

Implemented a paired category strategy for case studies and clarified limitations of the Discuss plugin.

10. Contact Form Fixes

Excluded Discuss plugin from contact forms, added a β€œThank You” redirect, and finalized menu tweaks.
